My confidence level has skyrocketed. Not to the point of arrogance (I hope - do arrogant people even have the humility to acknowledge that they’re arrogant?), but to the point where I can be an effective leader rather than a follower who hides behind other people (which is literally easy for me to do because I’m short). Being propelled to positions of leadership over the past two years rekindled that ambitious part of my nature.
On another note, I used to hate my body for not being blonde/blue-eyed/tall, but now I just go with it. I’ve finally recognized that Barbie probably gets hellish sunburns, her blue eyes put her at a greater risk of eye problems, and short people live longer.
(I’m pretty sure almost none of that was factual except for the sunburns bit, but whatever. I’m gorgeous.)
